How you doing? Hope you doing well. I had a very stressful week and I could not write anything. But a few weeks ago I thought of making a little review about the matte lipsticks that are totally in right now. I really love matte lipsticks, I just feel it gives a more special look than the normal glosses. So I wanted to show you my new liquid matte lipsticks that I am obsessed!
However, after purchasing at kyliecosmetics.com I really wanted to know if there is something a little bit cheaper. Because as I live in Switzerland buying two lipsticks is kinda expensive. So for two lipsticks (without lip liner) I paid about $50 incl. shipping.
For the NYX matte lip cream I only had to go to the next drug store and I bought like 4 little lip creams for less than 40 swiss francs.
These are the ones I tested from kyliecosmetics:

- Exposed
- Leo (lip kit)
And from NYX:
- Cannes
- Buenos Aires
- Copenhagen
I felt like I have to test the same colors as I bought from each brand. So here is my review of the matte lipsticks.
Posie K vs. Cannes
I absolutely love the two colors. They are a little bit different. Posie K is kinda a little bit pink and Cannes is a little bit red. Kylie lipsticks dry very very fast, I was so amazed and you really can drink and eat the whole day and it stays!! This is really something I love about these lipsticks. The NYX Cannes is so lovely, it just give you the feeling that you don't have to wear a lot of lipstick to have a good matte effect. It is very simple :)
Exposed vs. Buenos Aires
I have to say that I don't use these two a lot, because I really like colorful lips and these are kinda nudes. However, as I said before the kylie lipsticks stays the whole day but I also have a bad point. As I wanted to remove my make up at night it was a little bit difficult.. you really had to rub a bit and that is not what I would like to do every night. On the other side the color of Buenos Aires is more for people with lighter skin. I could imagine that someone with lighter skin and blonde hair looks beautiful with this color.
Leo vs. Copenhagen
As you know it's finally fall! And these are the perfect color for this time. I love dark red lipsticks, but I would not wear it to go to work but it fits totally for a night out or chic dinner. The one I got from Kylie is kinda darker than the one from NYX. It is important that dark lipsticks stays in place, because one little fault and you really can see it. So I recommend to use a lip liner and I'm glad that I got the lip kit from Kylie. Just make sure you buy the one from the same brand, it just looks a lot better.
RESULT:
It was very difficult for me to say which one from the two brands are the better one. It depends on what you want. Do you want something that stays in place the whole day, than I recommend you the Kylie lipsticks.
But if you want something that looks a little bit more natural and does not dry out your lips I would say you should go for the NYX matte lip creams. And they are a good cheaper choice.
